Resolved disk clean up wants xp pro sp3 disk

Do the compressed files and see what it does. I have never had any boxes unchecked in any version of windows and never had this problem.

 

You may like to run this just to clear out all temp files on your system, it is perfectly safe and is used a lot on this forum.

I had that problem when I was using XP Pro. I deleted Compressed Old Files from the reristry without any ill effects on the OS. Also turned off Web Client in services without any ill effects.

connected printer and no comodo on start up yay!
mr bill checked compress and it ran it w/o asking for disk only thing is that it wanted to know if it applied on to C but what was checked was sub folders and files. i left it.thats when it started doing applying attributes with a 3 day run? i cancelled. im getting way over my head.

 

comodo is still there as an unknown problem(it doesnt pop up saying that its closed or shut down but it knocked off my firewall)

Could you please explain what you mean by this. That is the behaviour more associated with a virus, I don't understand how a firewall can attach to printer software or drivers. How do you know this has happened?

If Comodo is still there you need to check in your Processes list in Task Manager to make sure Comodo isn't running in the background, if it was left running that could have caused a problem when trying to delete it. Disable it and run the removal tool again.

If you are having problems with your printer, uninstall and re-install the drivers.

 

markmadras everytime i connect the printer comodo shows up. if printer isnt connected no comodo.
looked in task manager,the only thing i can see that might be comodo is sprtcmd which might not be them. believe they use cmd and thats scary at least to me cause isnt that comand also?
i am going to have to restart her i wasnt in the room when she loaded

 

the comodo is still there only the pop up doesnt say comodo firewall pro but it turns off the windows firewall for seconds.
thesprtcmd is dell support (i googled).

 

update
i removed mse and reinstalled it, ran quick scan(which ran for around 10 mins) then i restarted computer, mse come up red with x on it and still got unknown problem blocking windows firewall. read comodo pro firewall, now its incognito.
going to safely remove printer.
markmadras,its unmovable since now it doesnt have a name. i dont like it being connected in anyway with my printer. i only print out certain things.

 

guess what removed printer restarted computer and unknown problem did not pop up.
otoh the new mse came up closed with anti virus turned offl only difference i see between old mse and new mse is that the new one scans on quick scan at least 10 minutes not the three minutes the old one did.
i cant scan my printer,can i?

 

If you run a full scan with MSE it will include everything that can be scanned. Once done, it seems that your problem is now resolved, yes?
