Desperately Need XP Back

    Thanks Pete, two good links and I did find what I was looking for on the one and the other usbman had come in very handy too, they are familiar there with the incompatibility of the VIA USB2 and the VIA VT6202 card and drivers and the Canon 8000F Scanner.
    And according to the usb man it will not work, there is no fix.
    What I need is a NEC USB2 and there are several Manufacturers using NEC.
    VIA is not one of them.
    Apperantly USB is NEC's Baby.
    With all this going on I have had no time to do any scanning hope to get back into it soon again.
