Suddenly, I no longer able to access software downloaded. It now requires to search by typing software name in Start. Help appreciated, thanks.

When you Download software-doesn't the Save to designate the Folder you want?
I quite often copy photos/images and when I right click I get the option of where MS is going to download the image. Many times MS option will be Video folder and I have to change to Pictures or Download folder-MY CHOICE!
Unless you decide (or remember) where you want the download to go-you will need to Search for it afterwards.
I hope I interpreted what you described. Neil.

I will have to work out the correct wording to insert in the software as to where file(s) is to be saved in computer Desktop Download Icon. Probably inserting C:\----\----\---? When or if someone suggests and is the correct wording. I will certainly report back. Thanks.

Neil, not in this instance. Rather concentrate on the software used for downloads Directories as to inserting the required correct path. C:\------.
    Working on this. Thanks.
