I have been an absent member, and recently have started to browse the forums.

But, a query. I have discovered a couple of my posts mysteriously vanished. these were In no way offensive - more helpful. On the last thread, mine and a couple of others also vanished. Is this normal procedure, if a moderator finds something not to his particular liking?

Yes. I removed 6 posts from the http://www.windowsbbs.com/windows-8/104605-windows-8-sleep-shutdown.html thread.

Those posts had nothing to do with the subject, only with the fact that 1 member posted that a link would go to the default Google search page, while the other 5 posts were all saying "no it doesn't ".

Certain older threads may also be 'retired' from time to time.

There was nothing to correct. The Google link is fine.
