having the better RAM & Vid Card already.... i'd probably rather just buy a new MB & HD than revive this one.... no offense to you VISTA guys but hopefully this will be my last time using it!

MR Bill I don't have a disc for Vista so, I can't reuse it right?

If you could find somebody with one, you could use theirs and your KEY CODE. Has to be the same version. Maybe some PC repair shop or a friend has one. Borrow the friends or ask the PC shop if you bring a DVD how much it would cost to burn you a copy. Only takes about 10 minutes. Tell them you will give them 10 bucks for a copy. Won't hurt to ask.

Mr Bill is quite correct and that will save you buying a new disc. But, if the product key sticker on you existing PC has OEM written on it you will not be able to re-use the same key on another PC, you will have to purchase a retail copy of the operating system you require.

You should also know that if you want to use your key with a copy of a retail version it must be the same version of Vista that is written on the Product Key sticker.
