Lonny, is this me you're referring to?

"Charles di you originaly have win me ,, and upgrade to XP or is this another PC (i forget "

if it is, this must be telepathy :)

I dual boot, still running ME.

Use both RegProt and ScirptSentry on the ME. As Brett indicated, works fine.

On XP, use SSM - System Safety Monitor which does both jobs of the above as well as monitor all executes on the system.

Warning: Does go thru a phase such as a newly installed Firewall does with outbound program permissions. SSM asks permission to allow every execute the system does including MS's with varying responses possible, ie, once, always - never - block once and some more variations that I can't think of at the moment.

    Regards - Charles

EDIT: When I mentioned MS's executes, I'm refering to things like updates - MS update - or Media Player. NOT the OS itself.
