Solved Concern with HiJack This log

    If you check everything and add it to the ignore list the next time you run hijack this the selected items will not show up unless they have been changed. Makes it easier to see the new items if and when they arise. I did it once before and forgot about it after a reinstall until I saw the option in the lower right hand corner. That's the pro side but I am unaware of any cons. I was wondering if you did.

    HJT is not a safe tool to play with startups, unless you're very familiar with it.

    Much safer is...
    Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
    No installation required.
    Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.

    In Autoruns, you can un-check, re-check items without actually removing them.

    Most startups are listed in "Logon" tab.

    Nice program. Thanks for the link. I did notice under the drivers tab that I have a few 'file not founds'. Think it will be ok to uncheck these?
