Solved Computer infected after "XP Deluxe Protector" was found

    Thats a typical false/positive we see daily for those tools we've asked people to download and use.

    Also it might mean you didn't run the uninstall commands I gave to remove them off the machine?
    Or the extrenal drive was not plugged in when the uninstall was run?

    Doesn't matter, those are not malicious but do need to come off.
    You can manually delete the lingering files/folders or run the below tool.

    Download OTC by Old Timer to your desktop
    * Double-click OTC.exe to run it
    * Click Yes to begin the Cleanup process and remove these components, including this application
    * You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process. Choose Yes
