    Dear all,

    Usually, when I go to a client to propose him a maintenance contract, I do a site survey by writing down his computer hardware and software specs. Most of the times, I forget something.

    I am searching for a site survey sample or application; preferably free.

    Please advise.

    Thank you

    Dear Pete,

    Thank you for your prompt reply;
    I guess I misexpressed myself;
    In fact, I need a sample|application which I install on my own netbook or PDA to enter the data (specs of the computers|software|printers|routers, etc. on the site).

    Or should I create an excel sheet?

    An Excel sheet would be my first choice. Can't really go wrong there. You can add or delete pretty easy from it and have a sheet for each customer. Then if they have more than one PC, just start naming them what ever you want to.

    An Excel sheet would be fine, but it may quicker to transfer the Belarc report, if it gives you the info you require, to your netbook. Less chance of error? :)

    Yeah Belarc may be better. That way you would also have the Key Codes of programs installed on that PC also incase something happened like a crash and no reboot. You know how people can't always find there key codes and stuff.
