    Broni,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner with an update. I work a twelve hour day on weekends so, I haven't gotten around to posting.

My computer seems to be running much faster than it did previously. Booting up and shutting down is like night and day. Whereas before my startup programs often took over two minutes to fully start up, now boot up is almost instantaneous.

There are a couple of issues however. When I ran Window update, it displayed an update to my HP W2207 monitor as an optional update. I checked it off to install, and the driver failed to install properly. When I restarted Windows asked to search for a driver for the Hp monitor. I had Windows search for a driver, but it once again failed to install.

I then went to the HP website and downloaded drivers for this monitor as well as the HP My Display utility for this monitor. The driver however will not install properly and says "Access Denied" when it attempt to install files onto my system.

The monitor itself seems to be functioning properly even though the drivers aren't installed properly. And the My Display utility installed properly, and I am able to use the Pivot function on my monitor. But the fact that my computer say "access denied" when I attempt to install the drivers bothers me.

In any case Broni, I just want to thank you for all of you help and helping me with my virus removal step by step. I never would have been able to figure all that I had to do on my own.

    Greg

    You're very welcome:)

    Now, couple of advice:
    1. Never play with drivers, if everything works fine.
    2. Never install any non-Microsoft driver through Windows updates. Microsoft was wrong too many times.

I'll mark this thread as resolved :)
