    Hiya,

I have a problem and I haven't been able to find anything like it online or anywhere, so I was hoping someone could give me a suggestion as to what to do.

Basically, I just got a new Samsung NC10 with Windows XP. Yesterday while setting everything up and installing all the various programs I regularly use (Avast, Firefox, etc) all seemed well.

Today, when I turned it on, the colors of the XP loading screen and then of the desktop itself (including Start Menu and the application bar) were inverted, as if I was looking at the negative of an image.
If I restart the computer, it fixes itself and everything is back to normal. If I turn it off and on again, the problem reappears.

I can't figure out if I have a problem with Windows or with the laptop itself, could anyone give me some suggestions as to what to do?

    Thanks in advance ^^

Hi daya. Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

Your problem could be caused by your graphics card. Have you updated your graphics drivers to their latest version?
I assume you are running Windows XP with Service Pack 3?

Also please fill in your system details it will up us in answering your questions.

    Hi there Evan,

    thanks for answering :)

I tried everything, updating the drivers, even tried with to use linux to see if it worked with a different OS (and so at least excluding hardware issues), but the error kept presenting itself.

in the end I gave up and contacted the manufacturer. am waiting now for it to be replaced (or fixed).

    thanks anyway for your help.

ps. I hadn't input my system details cause I wasn't sure if I should put those of the pc that was giving me problems, or of my main pc :p
