Resolved Closing Windows 98

    Lately when I try to shut down windows 98, it hangs open for a minute or two
    before the screen closes.
    Any suggestions as why this is happening, I have no programs running in the background to cause this problem.

    Steve, thanks for your help.I did a clean reboot as was suggested in one of the articles pertaining to Msconfig section and also started my PC in Safe Mode and closed it the same way, everything seems to be working fine now.
