    Am at the crossroads....
XP will, better be getting back from shop.....

Recently upgraded old computer from w95 / NSW to w98 SE / AGV. Also have router front-end, S&D, adAware, Enough-is-Enough, and ParentFilter (teenage boys). Mozilla 1.6 for adults, kids are mindset / brainwashed to use IE, which have upgraded to 6.x along with current release MSN messenger (kids again - AVG download monitored). Considering it's a 300 HMz/128 MB, it still gets around.

I'm "seriously" considering NOT installing NSI 2002 / 2003 AV on my XP when I get it back.. will install AVG.
My question, along with all of the about tools in place, plus Kerio on XP... there is one area I have not figured out how to manage. How do I find "broken links ", which NSW does provide when doing it's all in one system check. The rest of the work load will go to AVG, Kerio, and RegSeeker. So how do I find / fix 'broken links "?.... and while were there, exactly what are they? I've assumes improper shortcuts / bad paths.

RegSeeker will find broken links when you clean the registry. It will also find a whole load of leftovers from a Norton uninstall.
It's not free, but I recommend anyone/everyone to use eTrust AV/Firewall. There is a pinned thread at the top of the security section , Shield your PC...., which has a link to a free first year download. I think renewal is $39.95.

Thanks for the info noahdfear, with RegSeeker already my primary cleaner, makes the job that much easier.

It will also find a whole load of leftovers from a Norton uninstall.
When my XP gets back from the shop, HD will have been wiped clean, with a fresh XP install... should be no traces of NSW on drive. Which is why I'm considering leaving Norton. Norton has never been a problem and has been a loyal and trusted companion. But each release keeps bloating in size. Many of there new features are managed via other programs. Spam / PopUp control via Mozilla, Kerio for firewall, and with RegSeeker doing cleanup... one asks why add the weight of a overweight suite.
