I had sort of come to that conclusion but from sparrows last post it would seem it's possible to do it via a registry edit. Or at least some of them. Here's a quote from sparrows last post.
Granted, Home doesn't have gpedit but it would appear from sparrows reply that the policy does take effect if you edit the registry directly. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding sparrow here. This thread is making me wonder if maybe I've grown a bit more skull in my older age. Perhaps it's just getting too thick. I'll bet you're beginning to think the same. :D

I agree with you. Probable that most of the gpedit stuff can be done with direct registry edits. Surely not as easy though.

That's right - no gpedit policy! But I really did that! :D And it worked.

"not as easy though" - took two tries; almost gave up!

    Can't remove "My Documents "

Took me a while to get around to trying what you suggested. XP crashed and took me a while to get it back up without loosing all I'd already done.
In HKCU I had to create all of it from and including "nonEnum" on under policies, but it didn't work for me. I copied and pasted the string, but not real sure exactly what I was doing.

Thanks a lot, I will try it again soon.
I've got some other problems I may have to post to get help on.
    Thanks again.
