I'm actually too tired to do it right now. I don't want to mess w/ my registry unless I'm wide awake. It's 3a.m. here! Gotta crash. Will look at it in the a.m. - after I wake up.

    Found 2 files:

    Default Reg_SZ C:\Program Files\Logitech\Stetpoint...
    Threading File Reg_SZ Apartment

The 1st one I recognise, but not the 2nd.
    Someone chime in here.

Make sure it isn't set to run in msconfig. If it is disable it then try removing all traces of it. It should be located at C:\Program Files\Logitech\Setpoint.

WM, are you saying to let the "Apartment" file be?
I don't know how to verify if a file is set to run in msconfig.

Click the Start Button, select Run and type msconfig then press your Enter key. Select the Startup tab and see if there are any entries for Logitech or Setpoint. If so uncheck the entries. Click Apply then OK. Let the PC restart. This should disable the program from starting.

Do you still have the logitech mouse "hooked" up? If so remove it's driver from Device Manager, shut down and switch to a different mouse.

As for the Apartment file I haven't a clue. When using Google I see it referenced to, but not just for Logitech.

WM, Are you thinking the mouse is keeping the software from being removed?

That is what I started thinking about early this morning. Strange how some threads stick with me and a thought pops in my head.

Just manually delete all the Logitech files, including the driver files (.sys).

Then scour the registry for its load points, e.g.
    hkcu/software/microsoft/windows/current version/run
    hklm/software/microsoft/windows/current version/run
    hklm/software/microsoft/windowsnt/current version/winlogon/notify
and any other load points. Then delete the values for that software.

To find all of the load points for Logitech software, download and run Autoruns.

you need a shampoo literally, there is a uninstaller called ''ashampoo'' it will locate this program inthe registy and all its association and then give you the option of which ones you want to delete, its perfect for prgrams that hide from the unistaller.
