I have a one year old Toshiba laptop with Vista. For some reason I cannot copy and paste text from websites. Neither click and highlight nor Ctrl C works. When I click and highlight, then right click I get the menu and click on copy but nothing happens. The menu just stays there.

Can anybody tell me what I need to do to make this work. Probably something simple.

    Thanks,
    Don

What version of Internet Explorer? Does it work if you disable all addons?

    Thanks for the response.

It seems to be all websites.

I think it is IE 7. What add-ons are you referring to when you say disable them?

    Tools > Manage Add-ons

Try running IE with no Add-ons ....

Right click IE icon on desktop > Start without Add-ons or ....

    Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools - IE (no add-ons)

If that resolves the problem use Tools > Manage Add-ons to disable all and re-enable one at a time testing in between until the culprit is found.

Hi ddegagne. If disabling IE add-ons doesn't resolve the problem you can always try updating to Internet Explorer 8 and see if your issue gets resolved. Download it here, Internet Explorer 8.
