    I'm sure I can find a home for it. I will need to scout out a monitor but someone is always wanting to get rid of a CRT - so shouldn't be a problem.

    It sounds like the big winner out of this was your experience level. Well done Robert.

    Now that you have found a fix, you might want to go further and see if you can try getting it working "like new again ", how much time can you spare? Performing a reformat (recovery system) is very quick :D
