Recently had a virus. Solved it with malwarebytes in safe mode. Have cable internet with router. Now internet doesn't work on desktop, but does work on laptop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi lmsj2010. Try this, open Internet Explorer and click Tools< Internet Options< Connections Tab< LAN Settings. Make sure everything in that window is unchecked. When thats done click ok to close the LAN Settings window. Now click ok again to close the Internet Options window. When thats done restart Internet Explorer.

I suggest you get your system checked out by a Malware expert to make sure it's clean.

Read this post, then post the requested log(s) in the Malware and Virus Removal forum.
