    Hi,

    got a strange situation here.
Sudently I can't access internet anymore from any browser (opera, IE, firefox, chrome) on my desktop PC. Neither thunderibird for gettingh my emails. Although I can still login/logout from skype (I didn't try to skype anyone). I haven't tried any FTP etc.

My desktop PC is connected through LAN (not WiFi) to a router that is working fine (I know that because I m writing from my laptop through my routers WiFi now). Also I can still connect from my PC to my router and login and see that my ADSL is working good and got an IP.

    No proxies or anything.

I m running XP SP3 original fully updated. I did a spyware and malware check and found lot of spywares (400+) and cleaned them. Also I fully uninstalled my Internet Suite (Comodo) using a comodo utility.

    No luck so far!

Any advises/ideas? My next option is format + install....

Welcome to the boards. On this page, go near the top left User CP and fill out your system specs.

You should post the logs of what you found in the Malware section. Malware does play funny and bad and can/will cause this problem. It does it so that you can't access the net and kill it with something.

Something to check. Some malwares reset your internet connection to use a proxy. Go into Internet Options, click on Connection tab, click on Lan Settings button, make sure 'Automatic detect settings' is selected.

Moved to General Internet forum, no IE specific.
