Well you have already downloaded the AMD verification tool and it stated that you were running incompatible hardware/software for the driver to install successfully. You can try the beta driver but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Installed Win 8.1 preview. Since the upgrade to win 8.1 the printer keeps uninstalling itself. Quite funny actually. What's up with that cartoonish looking fish blowing bubbles. Is that a Freudian slip by MS. Anyway I wiped the drive out. My wife wants me to take a break. I told her I would but that dialog box keeps popping into my head that asks. Are you sure really want to quit. Just can't seem hit the OK button yet.

Windows Update showed an optional update for the ATI Radeon for Windows 8 Pro 64bit. It in stalled successfully. Now its showing that there is an external desktop display present and will only start as if it's sleep mode. Strange isn't it. I do not know how to mark this thread. If I mark it Resolved it might be misleading and some members might want to see how it was resolved and I don't want them to waste their time.

I'm marking this resolved. There are no ATI graphics drivers as of yet. Got the printer issue fixed. HP Solution Center was that problem.

Thanks for the update. :) You may have to come to the conclusion that HP may not release drivers for that model of notebook for Windows 8.

That's what I was thinking. That's the reason for resolving this thread. If I find something that works I'll open the thread and post the solution.

Used Win 7 Ult. downloaded and saved the ATI driver and burned it to disk. Reinstalled the driver on win7 it was uninstalled. I got into win 8.1 pro, installed the driver from the disk, went in to the Device Manager and the driver is now working properly. Thank you once again Evan Omo for al your assistance.
