can not start windows 2000 Professional

Hello,

I start my computer and windows 2000 starts running and when it arrives on the step of "applying personnel setting" it displays another window saying that "Saving personnel settings " and it becomes like a loop displaying those 2 windows altenatively and infinetely.I wonder if it can be a virus causing those troubles.

So help me what can i do??

 

sorry no one has replied. The first thing I would do it see if it will start up in safe mode.

Start your computer
Press F8
it should give you a selection to start in Safe Mode.
