When I try to play an AtomFilm I get a screen that says I need one of the media players listed. I have all of them - realplayer plus, windows media player, etc. Have not been able to get a response from AtomFilms tech suport. I can't imagine what is wrong.

    can't play AtomFilms

I downloaded the dvx and the codex for Windows Media Player to no avail. The error message I get when I click on Play t3ells me I need Real Player, or Windows Media Player or Quicktime - and I have all three. Real Player is RealPlayer Plus.

    Okay

    Just been to the site:

    http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/bin/content/video.jsp

and, as I mentioned earlier, it may need shockwave. There is even a link to shockwave.com at the top of the home page.
When you click a movie, do you get Connecting to The Server? This is because it is a streaming movie. Some need shockwave to enhance it.
Just watched butt naked. Pretty good.

I use IE, so even though its a Netscape site, it still works. You may want to download Shockwave from the official site:

    www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/

    Can't play atomtime films

I down loaded and installed Shockwave. I still get the screen that says to download real player, windows media or quicktime. I have all three and recently redownloaded Windows Media Player.
All most confusing.I also downloaded the codex that you gave me in an earlier repy.

    Okay

What version of IE have you got? Your setting may be a bit screwy. If its not 6, lets try a repair:

Control Panel | AddRemove. Doubleclick Microsoft Internet Explorer. Choose Repair, apply and restart.

Also, do you use a proxy?

I repaired IE 6 some time aqgo in order to stop Windows Explorer from crashing. I use Netscape 4.79, not Explorer routinely. I use Adsubtract to
stop pop-up ads.If I stop its filtering, it makes no difference.

    Hiya

So, are you saying that you have only gone in there with Netscape? If so, have you tried it with IE?

Netscape uses different "plug-ins" than IE. Be sure the files you're downloading are in fact for Netscape.

And, there are separate players for Flash and Shockwave.

    Can't get AtomFilms on Netscape

I was able to play Ferkel and Buck Naked on IE. With Netscape I can get a few of the films listed on the home page but not Ferkel or Saving Ryan's Privates. I really don't get what is going on.

Wish I could solve the mystery. As I recall when I installed flash and shockwavew they both plugged into Netscape.
