After installing W10, the second internal drive was not recognized. When I attempted to recognize it, W10 informed me I had to format the drive prior to using it. Is it possible to bypass a format to use the drive?

Evan Omo: Thank you for your help. The end result by following the thread you suggested, was the disk is empty and the data is lost.

Is getting any data off the drive a priority or was it not that big of a deal? If the data was valuable then you might try downloading Recuva and see if that program can recover any data that you need.

    Evan,
This HD was where I stored my recent backup and it's data loss is a bit tragic. That is why I asked for assistance. I know Recuva and shall try it.

    Thank you.
