   Good evening,
   
   Im having problems with my computer restarting almost everytime i open a file that contains an avi file. I am completely lost in how to fix this problem. The automatically restart is already unchecked yet it still restarts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

   A strong possibility that this is caused by your audio drivers - see this thread, post #9 .....

   I suggest you update the audio drivers.
   
   BTW - Automatically restart refers only to System Failure - as this is not a system issue the setting has no effect.
