Okay I am having problems with my computer. Sometimes my computer unexpectedly turns off and restarts, or sometimes my computer shuts down completely. Also sometimes my monitor while im using my computer turns like to square boxes, like a lot of them. Or sometimes my computer turns off and shows a bluescreen. When I load my windows vista normally, it usually turns off 3 times, than my computer can be used all day. But after 3 times. I am worried because I could mess up my hardware and stuff. But so today the computer turned off indicating that I have a Ntfs.sys problem. I do not know what is that. But I need help please!

    Thank you,

    Cristian Cortez

Welcome to the boards. Was the system always NTFS or was it FAT and converted to NTFS? Do you have a disc with Vista on it? May have to do a Repair with it. Have you downloaded anything new lately? Have you run a Check Disc as you could have a hard drive going bad on you.

Let some of the others chime in and maybe they will have more ideas.

    Yes Mr. Bill
it says Ntfs.sys, and no I have not downloaded nothing lately. I do not have any viruses, I have Norton Antivirus Program, Advanced System Cleaner, Super Antispyware. My computer suffered from viruses back than but I deleted all the viruses with these programs. I think my problem is just the driver. Okay I have 2 cd's I have one saying Drivers and Documentation. An my other CD is to reinstall the whole Windows Vista Home Premium back again. I used to have Daemon Tools Lite by the way but I have seen people complaining about driver failure problems but I have uninstalled that program already weeks ago.
