Use WIN XP HOME WITH SP-3 AND HAVE AN HP Deskjet 6940 printer and an HP Scanjet G4050 scanner. When I tried to update the scanner driver I got a BSOD and copied the following Tech Info that appeared on my monitor screen.

    OuSb2hub.sys-address EE5ACED1 base at
    EE5AA))), Datestamp 433cO9a2

    Memory dump completed.

    Translation please????

    Hi, telephonics. :)
That is probably not a valid STOP code because all digits after the "x" must be hexadecimal (0-9, A-F). I suspect your "S" may be "5 ".

OuSb2hub.sys appears to be a USB 2.0 Hub driver from OrangeWare Corporation. Perhaps you need to update that driver as well.

Perhaps your scanner was plugged into an attached USB hub. If you attach the scanner directly to a USB port on your computer, you might not get the BSOD.

Please carefully follow the instructions linked here and post a dump data log into a follow-up message.

    NOTE:
Unfortunately these logs require expert knowledge to analyze and there may be no members who regularly visit Windows BBS with the depth of knowledge necessary. Other members can make observations and suggestions as to how you might proceed toward finding the cause.

I just checked the HP website and found the latest driver for your scanner is apparently from the year 2007. Therefore, I am confused about you "updating" your scanner's driver.

Did you obtain your HP scanner driver "update" directly from HP?
