Inactive browser keeps redirecting to unwanted sites

    Run TFC in safe mode

    Unfortunately the TFC does the same in safe mode? the program runs to the point where it has found temp internet files and clears cache then the progress bar just keeps cycling from 0% to 100% repeatedly for hours on end, if at this point I click on the TFC screen then the Program not responding msg is displayed

    the continuous msg I that keeps popping up "Microsoft visual C++ Runtime library" this pops up every 3-5 minutes regardless as to what I am doing on the PC ( either on the internet, browsing files or even when PC is idle)

    Download Windows Repair (All in One) from this site

    Install the program then run it.

    NOTE 1. In Windows Vista, 7 and 8 right click on the program, click "Run As Administrator ".
    NOTE 2. Disable your antivirus program before running Windows Repair.

    Go to Step 2 and allow it to run CheckDisk by clicking on Do It button:

    Once that is done then go to Step 3 and allow it to run System File Check by clicking on Do It button:

    Go to Step 4 and under "System Restore" click on Create button:

    Go to Start Repairs tab and click Start button.

    Leave all checkmarks as they're.
    NOTE for Windows 8 users. Reset Registry Permissions is NOT checked by design.

    the redirecting from site to site issue is now resolved...thank you
    unfortunately I still have the new issue of " Microsoft visual C++ run time error" that appears every few minutes that shuts windows explorer down and restarts it again?

    more info to issue; Pop up box appears displaying msg " Microsoft visual C++ run time error" when I click the Ok button there appears a pop up box which states" windows explorer has shut down in an irregular manner" another box will then pop up stating "re starting windows explorer" at this point the desk top clears of all icons and task bar the timer comes on for a few seconds before the desktop re appears.

    Also since this error started I can no longer use my right click on the desk top (it still works on icons and task bar):i.e. to make a new folder, if I do right click then the desk top disappears timer comes on for a few seconds before the desk top comes back on.
