Don't be alarmed by what Kaspersky found, research so far points to a false/positive.

I'd like to run another scan, usually runs quickly.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop

    Additional Link

    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    * Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    * When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location.
    * You can also access the log by doing the following:

o Click on the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware icon to launch the program.
o Click on the Logs tab.
o Click on the log at the bottom of those listed to highlight it.
    o Click Open.

    Tutorial if needed
    http://thespykiller.co.uk/index.php/topic,5946.0.html

    Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

    In your next reply post:
    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware log
    New HJT log

Give me an update on how the computer is at the moment.

The computer seems more stable now. I played around with Google last night and didn't get hijack but it didn't always happen right away before. I plan to do more Google search testing later today to confirm. I will run the scan and post the logs this afternoon. Thanks!

It appears that Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware didn't clean the 1 threat reported by KASPERSKY yesterday. :(

This is starting to come in as a False/Positive.

    http://virscan.org/report/bd2c8f188fe72ced9aae9d7a29fdd7e1.html
    http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=109086&st=0&p=920142&#entry920142

Kaspersky is taking in file samples and should have this issue resolved shortly.

What you can do is in a day or two rescan again.
Hopefully they'll have the virus data base corrected.

    I want you to delete
    C:\gmer.zip
    C:\GMER.exe
    ark.txt

    NEXT**
Now we need to make sure we remove quarantined files.
Don't miss or skip this next step, this will remove malicious files from quarantine and set a clean restore point.
    • Click START then RUN
    • Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the x and the /u, it needs to be there.
    Example below
    [IMG]

    NEXT**
    1. Please download OTCleanIt from one of the following mirrors and save it to your desktop:
    2. Double click the [IMG] icon.
    3. Push the large "Cleanup" button.
    4. Allow your system to reboot.
Please download OTCleanIt and save it to desktop.
The tool will delete itself once it finishes, if not, delete it by yourself.

We'll leave this thread open for a day or two in case something should pop up but, not really expecting that.

Please take the time to read over a few of my preventive tips.

Please navigate to Microsoft Windows Updates and download all the "Critical Updates " for Windows.

Juliet, thank you so much for your help. I'm working on the preventive steps now. Do you mind telling me... of the million lines of logs I posted, which lines were pointing to the malware on my computer? I was reading and reading but couldn't figure it out.

The information I was looking for I can't seem to find now unless I have this one mixed up with a different Log.

I'm going to say malicious driver and script/rootkit.
