Started last week, seems to happen when I have 6 or 7 windows open. I did a disc scan, memory scan, system restore back to a few weeks ago. nothing has helped so far. I tried to look up the what I could but really did not know where to start. With just 4 or 5 windows open so far there is no problems. these 5 are 4 email's clients and FB. also did a malwarebytes scan, MS SE scan, ccleaner scan. Two of the open 7 windows have heavy thread use, but never had a problem before.

After BS shut down my computer and restarts everything is until I open these windows.

Here are the errors, need to be pointed in the right direction.

    Hi Gary.

I need some more information about your issue. Does the blue screen happen randomly or can you reproduce the behavior on demand? Did you install any software or make any changes to the computer before the computer started blue screening? Is this the first time you have seen the computer blue screen like this?

Try Performing a clean boot in Windows and see if the computer blue screens.

Follow these instructions to post a Dump Data Log.

If you do not have a dump, ensure that your machine is configured to write out a dump by following the directions from microsoft.

I probably can reproduce the BS if I have those seven 7 windows open. I have ten open now and sp far so good, 5 I usually have open and other windows I opened to see what happens.

No new programs, just windows updated. here is the site's that I have open when I get BS, so far other than my email, outlook, yahoo, fastmail, netzero.

I am going now to follow you're instructions now.

    thank you

I did the first test OK, but the second one is beyond the scope of me being comfortable doing it.

Maybe after keep rereading it, it will give me the confidence to try it.

    Thank you so much Evan

Evan, I did let my computer run with 11 windows open for 2 hours and everything is fine. the links I sent are actually game time chats, so it is very active. I went back to a restore point I created yesterday and there was no mini dump. From what I read a mini dumo does not get created until there is a BS shut down. I really do enjoy the site, as hockey is the only sport I like, and I enjoy jumping in when the game is on and live chat is running.

That's about all I can think of for now. If I run the site again and get a BS what in you're opinion, could the problem be. I will try and get some help to do the mini dump file so you can have a look.

Did you perform a clean boot in Windows yet to rule out any 3rd party programs causing the blue screen?

If the blue screen happens while the computer is in a clean boot state then post the Dump Data Log in your next reply.

Evan, It may take awhile for me to get the help I need. Timing is going to be a factor at this time of the year.

I was getting Malwarebytes popping up at random ,so I uninstalled it yesterday. Today was game day, so I ran the normal windows I use when the the last 2 BS occurred while everyone was chatting away, I let it run for 4 hours and did not have any problems at all.

Then I googled MB & BSOD, many post claimimg it was the cause their BS. Will see what happens when they play Monday.
I hope that is all it is. If not I did find an interesting tool, BlueScreenView at

    Now when going to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0

    I get
The page isn't redirecting properly when I search for something.

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

From one frying pan to another:)

If you're using XP - support has ended - this may be the reason you can't open MS Sopport. Your link works OK for me in W10. Neil.

Thanks for the info Neil. I am running w-7 with FF. I switched over to IE and the link opened for me too. I should have thought of doing that before posting. I had 2 FF crashes today on that sports site, never had FF crashes before, well maybe twice in 3 years. I checked and did not see a mini dump so that is good. Maybe all this is a FF problem. Tomorrow or Monday I will do a reset on FF.

    Thanks Gary

Lets just stick to one issue at a time. The redirecting issue with the Microsoft.com website has nothing to do with your blue screen problem so if you have any other issues just start a new thread. But for now, run the computer in a clean boot state for a couple of days and see if you can reproduce the blue screen behavior.

Evan, makes sense to approach it that way. Getting ahead of myself here.

Just follow the instructions in the link that I posted in my first post for performing a clean boot.
