Blue Screen and Random reboots error (102)

Hi,

Windows XP Home on an ACER laptop. Been running fine up until last week when it started randomly rebooting and the occasional blue screen of death. Event Viewer revealed error (102) event id 1003. Using Microsoft's debugging tools on the Minidump file I got the following. Can anyone interpret the output and tell me what may be wrong?

I'll 'ave a go ...and be aware that this is the first time I have really looked closely at one of these (I mainly work in 98). See if I can "work backwards"

Whatever may be causing the problem has already been loaded and is running in the background.

I don't know how to walk internal pools, but if you have an internal pool I would imagine that it would be quite hard to walk .

What I would try:
See if you can make the crash happen. Call up an application or driver to cause the crash. Investigate the roots of that/those.

Boot into Safe Mode and run some of the applications you know have been involved in the crash (open some files). You will not be able to utilize hardware (as you will know).

Run or rerun your antivirus and spyware (are they up to date?). If you are in Safe Mode you can run them there.

Go to Device Manager (any problems listed?), go to View -> Show hidden devices, investigate those.

Maybe obvious, but a Windows file has become corrupted, a rogue or badly written program is running or a driver has been corrupted. (Any changes been made to the registry lately?)

Maybe one of the XP people can see something here.
