Running XP Home SP2. Have an Asound Express II 2002 PCI sound card installed. Currently using the default windows driver.

Is there a better driver for this for XP? I think the sound card will "do more" if I have a better/newer driver but the CD for the card only has drivers for 98/ME/NT.

    Thanks

    Mitch

    Hi Mitch,
    http://www.telecommander.com/pics/links/Sound Cards/asoundcrystal4281rt/asoundcrystal4281rt.htm
4 channel sound appears to be the best you can hope for.

I found these Win 2000 drivers for the CS2481 chipset:
    http://www.cirrus.com/en/support/drivers/audio/OS3.html
    They might be compatible.

I cannot see specific Win Xp drivers. It may be expected to run on the Windows drivers.

I have a similar card, it runs 4 channel, that's pretty much all I expect of it.

    Thanks Matt,

Couldn't find one on my own so thought I'd ask here. Can't expect too much for a $9.00 five year old card.
