^^Alright, thanks! Hopefully this clears up the whole "Quick Reply" issue I'm having.

And as far as the whole "fast" scrolling ordeal, there is an add-on for FF that I tried called SmoothWheel. I'm forced to smooth the scrolling of pages to get it faster though. Not my cup of tea, seems I'll continue looking elsewhere.

Scrolling is not necessary, for me, at least. I, just, get hold of the vertical bar, and move it up or down, while holding down the left click. I can control the scroll as well as any other forms of scrolling, and I can do it fast. I scroll using the wheel scroll, only, when I don't know what I am looking for.

I know, I know. Was just nitpicking FF that scrolling with the scroll wheel within other browsers is faster by default, being that I like use the handy wheel almost all of the time. Sorry for the rant ;-)

Wow, geff, where on earth did you find this version? And all this time I thought they stopped after .20! Guess I'm might have to try this one out before settling on FF3. Unless someone else cares to chime in on this from experience? Or do you currently have this installed with no issues, geff?

Yes, I do use it regularly on a Win 98 box. It's been 100% stable. I found it on a Firefox/Netscape board I'm a regular on. I'd be glad to post the board's url, but not sure if that's a rules violation here?

A "nightly" is considered a test build, which is what this is. I'm HOPING someone will do a nightly to bring 2.x in line with 3.11, but so far no luck.

Hope this helps someone, I've received a ton of help from this board & am most grateful!

    Geff,
I did a thorough search, and came up empty handed. If you have access to a board which develops old versions, ask them if there is a problem sharing info.
The closest I came to learn about further development of Firefox2. was here, but I could find no details.

The build I linked to above isn't official, though it is on the Mozilla ftp server.

The FF/NS board I frequent is here:
    http://sillydog.org/forum/section_1.php

The thread on 2.x builds is here:
    http://sillydog.org/forum/sdt_15324-0-asc-15.php

It's not a programmers board, just a users board. It used to be hugely popular in Netscape's hey day, but is much smaller now. Back in the days before Mozilla, Antony the board's originator used to compile & release stripped down versions of Netscape with most of the garbage ware removed. In those days, IMO his versions of NS were the best browser available.
