No, it's webspace that comes included in the connection, apart from a few basic tools (the mailer, guest counter and a few others) there are no perks. But 50Mb to play with before spending more money can't be sniffed at ;)

I'll probably switch to a better host once the site has improved, in the mean time I'll take your other suggestions on board, probably some time tomorrow. As far as email address is concerned it's not that big an issue as I can see where (IP address) the message came from and bombing isn't practical as the mailer is limited to 5 messages/hour per IP address and 50 messages/hour total.

Understood, free can often better than paid!
You probably saw a couple empty test messages from me.

50Mb without server side coding available - I'd sniff at it. 50Mb of static content is a bigger hole than I'd like to fill.

I know but it's around 8 years since I developed a website (and even that one was basic). 50Mb is good enough to practice with and get feedback (I can always test PHP/SSI/CGI etc locally.

Once I'm happy with layout/content/feedback etc I will move to a host with better server side services.

BTW do you like my 404 page ;)

Put this in the head of the 404 page:
    Code:
    <meta http-equiv= "refresh" content= "10 url=404.html ">

    Hi Tony.

    Any particular reason for this?

    It's a joke!
I reloads the 404 page over & over, every 10 seconds.
    Code:
For crying out loud, do you know how much time I spend creating, designing and updating this site. I don't know, I leave you alone for 2 minutes and you go and break it.

Ah, but those types of counters are inaccurate for they don't process the visitors ip address or use sessions. But they will make it appear like a lot of traffic has been there.

    Sorry Tony,

It wasn't the counter I was meaning, it was the refresh (commented out just now) that will be active for latest score when United are playing.

BTW is it still accetable to use tables for things like Goal Scorer name/Time below the teams?

Good idea re the refresh scores.
And yes, <table> is not a depreciated tag. For stuff like scores, stats, tables are the choice.
