    Still Issues...

Thanks. Had used that before and tried it again and it still comes up as an option on boot. I even ran it again to see. Dunno how to get rid of it. Suppose it doesn't hurt.

Hey, can I uninstall or disable Windows Defender since I am running Malware Bytes Pro or should I just keep it on?

Delfix seemed to run okay but now I can't delete all the icons from my desktop for OTL, security check etc. Even two of the log files won't delete. Says "Item Not Found ".

Lastly, getting this popup still of something which appears as trying to run but has an error message. I posted it at the URL below since I wasn't sure if I can post it here. Thx.

Thanks a bunch for all your help!

Windows Defender is really worthless so you can safely disable it.

Try Windows forum regarding those boot options.

Good luck and stay safe :)

    A Few Other Questions...

Please see my last post as I was editing it when you replied. Windows Forum is just windowsforum.com. Is that the correct one.
You marked this resolved so will wait and see if you come back before starting another thread on the last post.
    Thx.

Turn the computer off. Wait 1 minute.
Restart and see if the error and icons are still there.

BTW you can't uninstall Windows Defender. It's part of Windows.
    You can disable it though.

Okay but what about that pop up error message that I linked to from the other message? That things continues to randomly pop up.

This is some programming error so it may be coming from anywhere.

Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista/7), type in:
    msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista/7).

    Click on Startup tab.
    Click Disable all
IMPORTANT! In case of laptop, make sure, you do NOT disable any keyboard, or touchpad entries.

    Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
    Click Disable all.

    Click OK.
    Restart computer in Normal Mode.

NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on, just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running.
If you use Windows firewall, you're fine.

    Same problem?

If the error is gone go back to "msconfig" and start re-enabling startups and services you just disabled but only one by one restarting computer each time until you find the culprit.

    Thank You!

Disabled those items but hard to tell because the pop up is so random. Thanks though for the guidance and all your help! Take Care!

Oh, I thought it happens on every restart.
For now you have to at least re-enable your AV program.

    Popup

The popup program error is random but the Trend Micro Clean Boot is a selection along with Win 7 when booting before Windows loads so maybe I have to check the bios.Thx.
