Certainly a lot of information to be gleaned from all of the test results! One thing the tests really have us all thinking about the huge amount of spy/malware out there. I just cannot understand anyone who can browse the Internet without a firewall never mind the added security which we all know we need to employ.

I have been shocked at how many are still unaware of the dangers and also think I am over concerned about my security guards and walls! I have helped quite a few friends recently with their computers and have left everyone of them with Ad-aware/Spybot and Javacool's software installed on their computers as they had nothing at all.

BTW Lavasoft is back online :)

Lavasoft and spywareinfo are two, entirely unrelated, different sites. As of right now, no problem with accessing either.
means they did not pay the rent to the company from whom they leased the domain. They must have now done so.

    Curious about Giant

    Hello Everyone

I downloaded and installed Giant and yes... allowed it to phone home, so to speak, to be part of the Spynet community. Does it concern me? A bit but not overly. I've signed up for the 15 day free trial and so far I'm liking what I see. After assiduously updating my SSD and Ad-aware on a daily basis, low and behold Giant found an infected (low threat) and an infected file (high risk) which it quarantined (I later deleted this). I'm of the mind to wait and see what it does over the next two weeks and how my box responds. If all is well, I'm very willing to shell out $30 for this program. :)
