    Hi.
I have recently installed two pci cards in my computer (first the driver and then physical the cards). It is two soundcards: "M-audio 44 ". After this installation, the computer will not shut down. When I try, the computer shows the "shutting down" screen for a loooooooong time and then it's restarts and an error is shoving in Windows. When I go in details in the error log, I get this:
    Problem Signature:
    Name of problem event: BlueScreen
    OS-version: 6.1.7100.2.0.0.256.1
    Landestandard-id: 1030

    More information about the problem:
    BCCode: 9f
    BCP1: 0000000000000003
    BCP2: FFFFFA800589D060
    BCP3: FFFFF80000B9C5A8
    BCP4: FFFFFA8006168620
    OS Version: 6_1_7100
    Service Pack: 0_0
    Product: 256_1

Files that helps to describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\062709-34959-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Andreas og Linda\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-40622-0.sysdata.xml

I have read I tried the things in this topic: http://www.windowsbbs.com/windows-7/81022-windows-7-shutdown-problem.html

    But that didn't work..

    Hope someone can help me...

I am not overly familiar with Windows 7 as yet, but a few observations .....

Why 2 sound cards? - I would think that would be asking for conflicts.

Although this is the Error Code description for XP I would expect it to apply to 7 ....
I see from the M-audio 44 web site that they offer drivers for Vista - this does not necessarily mean that they will be compatible with 7.

If you remove one sound card do you experience the same problem?

Try running C:\Windows\Minidump\062709-34959-01.dmp through our Dump Data Collection Tool to debug and post the log here - no idea if it works on 7 and please be aware .....
Bear in mind that Win 7 RC1 is still a beta and not a final product.

I have two soundcards because I need 8 line in channels. I should be able to run up to 4 m-audio cards in my computer.
But as PeteC says, the driver is made for Vista, and can probably not run in Win7.

I will complete the System Specifications now...

I see you are mixing RAM.... try to run with only one brand of RAM & see if that solves it.

Okay, I have just been using this setup for a long time, and the problem started the time I putted the cards in the computer... But I will try anyway - not today though :)
