At some wireless internet cafes I can connect using a different IP address, thats my thought but once I leave the site and I cannot get back to it.

Did you right click and 'save as' when you downloaded? Is there any chance that the site can be blocking your home IP?

I was using Firefox browser so I switched to Explorer, then downloaded, installed, and opened the file. After a few minutes I rebooted and tried to get to my site. It failed again, connection timeout. I don't know if its the server on this end or my website server. I don't think its my website server, but I will ask them to check it.

I am using a lot of flash media and applets on the site. When I am able to get there from other locations, such as internet cafes, sometimes the java scripts will work and then there are times when they don't. Let me ask, have you been to the site? and If so, did the java scripts work? Do you think that could be the problem?

I tried the site in Internet Explorer and Opera browsers and both are totally different.
I have uploaded screenshots of how they appear. In Opera, the radio fails to finish loading.
First screenie is Opera's view of the page.

Have you tried clearing out all your cookies? Can also try putting the site into the trusted zone.

All the cookies were cleared yesterday. I put the site address in the trusted zone, then checked the restricted and nothing is there. I tried the page again and the same error. Do you know how to hide the IP Address?

What do you think of the different rendering of that page between the two browsers?
Definitely there is something amiss there.
Open a command prompt and then type in ipconfig /flushdns and see if you can get there now.
Have you tried going through a different server? Opendns have free accounts where you can try it out.

Hi Crunchie, I've moved to a new location, away from my house. Its a different IP address and I am definitely able to get to the site. One of my applets is telling me to download Java tm. Should I do that?

I don't what's going on with the browser, but I suspect IE may have stricter security checks than the other browsers. That's exactly what I am trying to figure out.

When I get back home I will try the instructions above.

Downloading the Java tm should not be a problem. I was asked to download I also.
Sounds like the IP address at home may be the problem. Will wait till you get the results.

I have been out all night at different cafes. At each one I can get to the site a few times but it later rejects me when I close the page and try to bring it back up. I:ve used my laptop and the cafes desktops and always the same results.

Did you try the things I suggested earlier? How did you go?
Is the bios clock/date correct? I have seen some wierd things happen when they are wrong.

Tried it with Open DNS and no luck. Changed the security settings in Open DNS a few times and still couldn't get through. Checked my Java and its up to date. My bios says the location is the US and the time is Pacific Standard.

Try running this; View attachment flush.zip

I tried a validation on your page and it came up with over 400 errors and over 40 warnings. You may want to validate it yourself.

The flush zip worked, but still cannot access the page. I will do the validation and yes there are a lot of problems there. Do you think the page redirect is part of the problem?

This is getting quite puzzling :(. Can you try a proxy to see if you can get there?
    http://freeproxyserver.net/

    Open the Run window and paste in the following;
    cmd /k tracert www.btmedia.net

    What are the results?
