    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

If you scroll down in your first screenshot do you not see Aero Themes below My Themes? - screenshot.

You must select an aero theme to display Aero.

If you have Windows 7 Starter edition AFAIK no themes are available.

Hi wazari93, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

It looks like the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service is not running. To start it click Start< Run and type services.msc and hit enter. After the Services window opens scroll down and locate the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service. Right click the service and click Properties. Make sure the startup type is set to Automatic and that the service is started. Click Ok to close the Service properties window.

Make sure the Themes service is set to Automatic and is Started as well. Aero should now work again.

Also please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions.

Note: A common error is to forget to show your System Details in your profile:

Make sure to do the above when entering your System Details, thanks.

Unless you have changed the Windows default settings of Start you will not see Run listed in the right hand column ....

In this case go Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run

Or you could even just type Services in the start menu search box and hit enter. That works too.

ok i found out the following:
when I reinstall the video card drivers aero works until i restart my computer.
I think i could have something to do with Open CL and Direct Compute. I use the Software GPU-Z and when i reinstall the drivers OpenCL and Direct Computer are checked. When i restart my pc then and i look again both are unchecked.

Your card supports OpenGL, so a couple of possibilities - the driver is not the right one or the card is faulty.

With the PC powered down I would remove the card and reseat and check that the auxilliary power supply cables are firmly attached - check the specs for running the card here. Your My System does not show the PSU

I would uninstall all ATI/AMD software through Programs & Features and then let AMD scan your computer to detect and inatall the correct driver

If Open GL still does not stick there is an issue with the motherboard PCIe slots or the card.

One further thought - if this is a new build did you install the chipset drivers, etc from the motherboard CD?

Good idea - if that works your card has a problem - if it does not work either looks like you have a motherboard problem.

Keep us posted with the outcome :)
