Resolved Ads By Video Player Virus?

    A friend of mine copied a video from his USB stick to my computer and now I have a lovely pop-up situation happening. I have random pop-up ads appearing at the bottom of my Chrome window (Ads By Video Player) and also anytime I click on a link within the browser I get a pop-up.

    The URL for the last pop-up was: http://rvzr-a.akamaihd.net/sd/cpops...sionx/0.0.4.html?aff=4300-1009&p=Video Player

    Not sure what's going on - Google searches of "Ads by Video Player" aren't turning up a lot of information.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I did find a Chrome Extension called Video 11 that was installed by a third party - I have trashed it but I am still going to run the scans as recommended and post the logs to ensure everything is clean. Thanks again for your help.
