Resolved ACPI non compliant

    I'm trying to upgrade from XP Pro to Vista and upon reboot I get the BSOD and a notice that "the BIOS are not compliant. Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-965G-Ds3 F2. Intel core 2 duo processor 1.87 GH. Nivida GeForce 8600Gt Video Card.
    BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. F2. It does its first install and then when it reboots I get the screen

    Merry Xmas biged, It would pay you to fill in the "System" info as I think RAM is a big requirement in Vista. All the information you have on your machine helps the experts. Cheers Neil.

    You should get the motherboard/system manual that has BIOS information. Look for the section related to ACPI, it is probably under the SATA Controller heading. Check that it is enabled.
