Resolved abode flash player wants to open

Hi, I'm new to this forum and not too computer savvy. Anyway, I have a problem. I keep getting a pop-up that states: "A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer. Name: abode flash player." It also gives the options of: Do not show me warning again. Allow. Disallow. "

I'm not sure if I should click "allow" or "Do not show me warning again" because I afraid of getting a virus. So, I keep clicking "Disallow" but the message keeps popping up. I have windows Vista on my computer. Thanks.

Hi watermellon, Welcome to Windowsbbs!

Those messges that you are getting in IE are normal. Go ahead and select the option that says Do not show me this warning again and then click on Allow. Adobe Flash Player is safe to run. Just make sure you are using the latest version. You can download the latest version from here, Adobe Flash Player 11.3.

Also please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions.

Note: A common error is to forget to show your System Details in your profile:

To have your system specifications displayed in your profile, you have to click the link Edit Options, and under Thread Display Options< System Specifications select Yes from the drop-down menu.

Thanks for solving my problem Evan. I was leary on selecting the allow button for fear of getting a virus. Nothing happened and everything's OK now. Thanks again.

Marking a thread as 'Resolved'
