Go into BIOS & set the Printer Port (LPT1) to Standard. Reboot. Windows should find the new hardware & install the drivers.
Unplug all your old hard disk(s) and install the new one. Install Windows & then plug in your old C: drive. Now you can copy/move the data safely....

He has most probably increased the playing speed. Goto View->Enhancements->Play Speed Settings. Set Play Speed to 1.0. Hope it helps.
