    You can test the performance issue....Compress some of the larger files you access on a regular basis And or compress files under Program Files...

    Double check the More Settings->Advanced tab->SMPT settings. Make sure they are using the same port number....

    How much ram do you have installed? 50% is a hugh number.....I currently have six svchost.exe running and they don't take up more then 10%......
