I would try two things: Uninstall & reinstall Windows Messenger Check for Malware
This worked for me: Start type: outlook.exe /resetnavpane, press Enter. I encountered this error just this week for the 1st time.
You'll probably have to look in Acrobat's options/settings. I don't have Acrobat bloatware on my PC's so can't help you with that.
