    Ok... figured this out myself... F2 during startup, set O/S plug & play to "no "and then enable the ports.

    Upon installing W2K the LPT1 & Com1 were disabled - seemingly b/c of a conflict with Crystal WDM Audio Codec (error code 29). The windows support...
