Welcome to WindowsBBS;) Do you have any "mapped drives" to other computer(s)? If so - are the computer(s) turned on?
Are you getting some sort of error message when saving the files?
Is this a home pc or part of an exchange server system? Might try highlighting the Deleted Folder and look through the "view" options......
Display proerties allows you to select a smaller font which would help.
