Very possible, but I have seen times when I had to reinstall XP and W98 less than a month apart. Sometimes, things just don't go right.
Sometimes, it takes a complete reinstall of Microsoft Office to fix things.
When you say "deleted ", does that mean you properly uninstalled the program? WinDVD - Is that an Intervideo / Corel product?

Agreed. Many of the apps on Windows 8 requires an account to be opened. My advice is to delete most of the apps unless one strikes your fancy.
