The answer was to load music directly into iTunes, AFTER going to Edit> Preferences> Advanced> 2nd box down - click COPY FILES TO iTUNES MUSIC...

The white was coming from the color profile in NVIDA. When I switched the profile from standard to advanced it was fixed.
