    I spotted a user with the same problem with IE7 at GTG. Windows Update KB928090 was the cause. Removing it solved the issue.

    DDR2 -533 & DDR PC2-4200 are the same thing. DDR PC2-5100 will work. Crucial always seems to recommend the higher speed. Any of these sticks...

    I believe you should get a beep even with a bad processor. I would suspect the motherboard.
