    As I understand it this means that files could not be found on the server, i.e. at Dell, so it is not you :) Do you not have the Dell driver CD...

    Windows Search 4 is not applicable to Windows 7 - it went out with Vista. Disable Hibernation and set the computer to do what you want under Power...

    When you reinstalled Windows - after a full format? - did you install the chipset drivers, etc for the motherboard? I suspect that you did not....
